Noob short format date question

Hi I know this is a simple question but I need help please. I have a table of
dates that I want to change from the US format (MM/DD/YY) to the UK format
(DD/MM/YY) how can I do this simply and quickly as its been bugging me for a
while now. Thanks

The date is always stored in the same manner. How it displays is just a
formatting option.
