Hi,
i succesfully installed a realtek ethernet card,
but my winXP prof claims there is another network interface too !
which i never seen. one cannot delete the corresponding icon,
it appears each time once again. my system may even have a third
completele unseen NIC !
i suppose the following explanation: WinXP stores each NIC, which
were once installed and cannot forget, nor delete it if a NIC is removed.
yes, i had other cards in this computer.
i even remember the network connection refused to work unless i
bind two of them in a "bridge".
now the bridge in not neccessary, the system was reinstalled several times,
but the unclean situation with other NICs remains.
does anybody have a good expalanation of this behavior ?
how can i get rid of all nonexisting NICs ?
thanks in advance,
zbyszek
