Hi Melissa and Michelle. Can you describe what you mean by "don't work".
Does the program not open when you launch it ? If it opens, do you get any
error message, or do you get no response at all ? If you get an error
message, what does it say, and what feature did you try to use ? Are you
talking about Windows Messenger ? ( There are other Messenger services,
including one in Windows called Messenger, which has nothing to do with
Instant Messaging. ) Are you using a software firewall ? If so, which one
? What have you already tried in the way of investigating this problem ?
Lots of people don't stop to help because they only want to get involved for
a maximum of 3-5 minutes ( obvious influence of the quota system in help
desk departments ). Specific descriptions/symptoms with specific background
info goes far to help those people satisfy their desire for a quick fix.
But vague descriptions like "don't work" really scare those people, because
it often leads to discussions that last a whopping 15 minutes or more.

I'm having the same problem with no help also. I am
getting ready to start all over and wipe the system. I am
running Windows XP home edition on a Sony Vaio Desktop.
What computer do you have? Just trying to see if there is
a connection. Thanks, Michelle
