nondeletable non-existant files?!

I recently noticed under my D:\ drive that I have a file called "CAAZ0LSX."
Now I'm not sure when this file popped up but I know it's less than a few
days old as being displayed. I'm not able to delete it open it or anything.
It's attributes are that its a system file 0kb big. Also, it shows last
modified April 5, 2005 7:14 pm but that probably doesn't have to do with
anything. I don't have display system files on though. Anyways, whenever I
try to delete it, it says can't delete file, can't read from the source file
or disk. I've tried using the ctrl alt shift at shutdown to kill explorer and
del this file from the command prompt with explorer.exe shut down but again
it acts like the file doesn't even exist. I've also tried using a program to
delete nondeletable files and it shows up in the list but it can't do
anything with it. I was just wondering is there anyway I can remove this
seemingly non-existant non-deletable file from appearing in my D:\ folder?
Please someone help me.

That article would help me out if the file wasn't in the root directory of
the harddrive... The file is located in D:\ and it's not in any folder or
anything. I'm not going to be able to remove everything from D:\ either since
it's where I keep a majority of my programs and whatnot and I don't have
enough space to keep the stuff in D:\ on my other partition and harddrive.

Thanks. The delete fxp files program from http://www.deletefxpfiles.com/
worked that I got from the link you posted. If anyone ever needs to delete a
seemingly impossible file to delete they should download that free program to
delete it. Note: It doesn't delete folders though unless you register it by a
code.
