Nonbreaking hyphens and spell checking

Correctly spelled words containing nonbreaking hyphens are marked as
misspelled by the spell checker (replacing nonbreaking hyphens with normal
ones makes the error mark disappear). Suppese this is a bug in the spell
checker. Any suggestion?
 
I'm not seeing that here. Can you give some examples of words that are being
marked as misspelled? And what version of Word is this?
