I am getting a non system disk or disk read error on
bootup. There is no floppy or CD in the drives. I have
changed the boot order and tried to boot with the Win2K CD
in the drive but the pc still doesn't boot. Any ideas?

Have gone into the BIOS and verified that the HDD is
listed there? If it is not, then your hadr drive is bad.

Pete: Unfortunately, I believe you are right. Only the
floppy and CD ROM are listed. I have gone out and bought
a new hard drive, so first I'll check the cable and then
try the hard drive. Thanks for the tip.

boot with your install cd and try to fix the master boot
record, or repair the installation.

you can try the same thing with a floppy from win98
fix mbr
