How to achieve this ? Happy , if necessary, to view a complete calendar
including Private Appointments but don't want to print such appointment times
with "Private Appointment" showing.

Use a filtered view of the calendar and then print that.

Have been trying to 'Customize Current View" but have been unable to filter
out 'private appointment' entries without deleting all entries.

Can filter a contact field to 'yes' Private Appointments to create a
'Private appointment calendar' but am trying to create a calendar with all
normal entries excluding 'private appointments'
