non-existant tape drive

I am having trouble uninstalling a non-existant tape drive from a server. It
shows up in the "Removeable Storage" area on the management console and is
red x'ed. When I attempt to delete it I get the message: "Can not delete
(device name): only "non present" libraries can be deleted." Any help with
making this go away would be appreciated.
 
Does the tape drive show in Device Manager? If so, try to uninstall it
there.
