ntbackup

Hi

I was wondering if anyone could help me. I am temperately using ntbackup to
backup data on a windows 2000 server using two tapes (Tape 1 and Tape 2).
Once I set up a schedule everything backs up ok until the tape gets full. I
then have to erase the previous tape by going to My
Computer/Manage/Removable Storage/Physical Locations/Tape Drive/Media/Tape
and selecting prepare. This erases everything on the tape but unfortunately
it also erases the tape from the list on ntbackup. This means I have to keep
creating a new schedule every time a tape is full (If I erase the tape and
leave it in the drive it prompts me for the tape I erased). Is there any way
of getting around this, thus allowing me to just put in a tape without
having to delete the schedule and re-create it every time?

Thanks
Neil

Try the /um switch for unmanaged backups.
