non destructive restore - files are gone

I had an admin account and a guest account with admin privileges. During
admin set up I chosed the option “ files can not be seen by othersâ€.
I made a non destructive restore. I can not find my files, pictures
basically everything related to admin but all the software application there.
They suggested to do safe mode – files – permit access to others…. Did not
work. I know files are there somewhere as my disk space did not reduced. Any
solution. If yes please give it in details and I did the obvious ones.

Look in C:\Documents and Settings\ for the old profile name.
Take ownership if necessary to get into the folders.

Thank you but can you give more details. I already did in safe mode - put a
check mark 'replace owner... nothing happen. Is diffrenet can you give me a
link for instruction or tell me the steps.
