No worm, but browser not opening

For the last four day my IE version 6.0 has not been
opening. Comcast release and renewed my IP address and
checked the ping response. No problems there. We even
install Netscape and it will not open. Both browsers open
partially then stop. Comcast rep said he thinks there
might be corruption on my OS (Windows 2000). Any advice
as to how to fix? I reinstalled IE and that did not
work. My email is working just fine. HELP!!!!

I have the same problem and have tried everything to no
avail. However, I did switch to another user profile (I
am using WindowsXP Professional), and guess what?
Internet Explorer works just fine. Checked a couple of
other User profiles and IE works. It's just a problem on
my main login (Administrator).

I surely would like to know what is going on here.
