No W7 newsgroup? Have question

I can't find a W7 newsgroup so will ask here. I though W7 updates itself
where these SPs are concerned? I have it set for AutoUpdate. How do I know
if if it downloaded the SPs or not? Google brought up a lot of info on how
to tell using XP and Vists, saw nothing about finding out on W7.

Try: alt.windows7.general

Go into Control Panel and in "Search Control Panel" type: "view
installed updates" (without the Quotes).

I have AutoUpdate set too but it doesn't kick in because I have ESET
Smart Security installed which overrides Microsoft auto updates until I
authorise their installation.
