I am not able to open my web on FP. If I open my page in IE and then click
on Edit in FP, a page opens with a Local address from Temporary Files and I
do not get the Username and Password box. I am not on my webpage where I can
make changes. Any suggestion? Thanks.

Have you tried opening the web via FrontPage first to see what happens?

aware 1st time i opened my website in FP it didnt ask me for any
usename/password to download the actual files/contents of the site but you

If the FP extensions are installed and configured correctly on the server, you will always receive a
login prompt when accessing the site via FP.

Thank you for your help. I do know the FP extensions are working since I can
edit FP on a different computer. I use to be able to edit on this computer
but had to do a PC Restore and clean the hard drive of everything and then
had to reinstall all programs. If I open FP and then try to Open File, I get
My Web Sites with 2 options: Private or Images, both which are empty. Where
do I go now?

You got half way there.

You need File | Open WEB (That's WEB, not open FILE)

The prompt after that will look like a browse box, DONT USE IT.

Instead, at the bottom of the box, type the COMPLETE address of your web
site including "http://" at front.

Then press OK or Open and it should prompt you and let you in.

That is the best way to reliably open a web site, it's a bit longer to do,
but lacks all sorts of problems that can crop up of you use any other
method.

You are the best - Thanks.
In the past, I opened my website index page and then clicked on Edit in FP.
Presto, I would get the username and password box and then I was in. Is
there a way to restore this short cut?
