No transparent PNG support in IE 6

I noticed, with my maximum sadness, that IE 6 doesn't support
transparent PNG file format. Are there other graphic formats that offer
transparencies and are supported in IE 6, otherwise than the obsolete GIF?

IE6 supports one-colour PNG transparency, like GIF transparency.

Thank you. I found some interesting workarounds for ie6 that adds
partial support for transparent png searching with google.
