No Transfer of Audio from source file to Movie Maker

Can anyone help?
When importing video clips from a source file within the camera software no
sound for that clip is transfered with it to Movie Maker. i.e. I can view the
movie but without the original sound.
Any ideas???

Sounds like the result of trying to import a MPEG2 clip into Movie Maker.
MM does not support MPEG and especially MPEG2 files.
