no Start button on desktop

hi5-0h

i somehow got a desktop background og a spacw sdtation. there is no task bar
to open the program. windowsw opens then the background comes up and you can
not do anything......what do i do?
 
Does depressing the keyboard Start key (left of Alt key) enable you to
select Conrol Panel, Taskbar and Start Menu? On the Taskbar tab uncheck
Auto-hide the Taskbar.
