no sound

It is always necessary to have the driver cd or floppy to install the drivers.

Go to the manufacturer's web site and then search for drivers if available and then download them and then when prompted for the location during installation of the hardware drivers point it to the location where u saved them and then the audio will be restored.
 
I lost my sound when i changed my sys' from XP PRO toXP Home,i do not have a
driver disk,could you help me to get my sound working again & the path to
take,i have a Creative Sound Blaster Live 5.1. 10K1,
i would be very gratefull for any help that anyone gave me & i would like to
thank you in addvance,

Try Mfgr's Setup or Configuration to change some settings.
Then reBoot and change them back. This may update the
system files. If you don't have an ICON or Start entry,
go to SOUND in the Control Panel.
