No sound

I get no sound from my speakers.
What I think happened is that I accidentaly deleted SoundMAX (under
Software) while going through the junk I had installed on my computer.
Unfortunately, this resulted in a lack of sound from my computer, even though
my speakers are connected. I have tried restoring my system to the point
before I uninstalled it, but it never works. I have also tried to download a
file to install SoundMAX as well as get the program from a friend. I listen
to a lot of music and watch many videos with my PC, so I really need help on
this.

Thank you

You need to download the drivers for the soundcard. Go to either the
soundcard makers web site and get the driver or go to the motherbord maker
and get the soundchip driver. The one you need depends on your setup so you
need to identify your sound card and get the right driver and install it.
The speakers dont show up in device manager as speakers dont need drivers.

I found out that my sound card is integrated into my motherboard, and
my motherboard is made by intel. I can't figure out which one it is.

I can find that part, but the markings I have aren't on this website:

Maybe because it's old..

If you can't find your original motherboard drivers and you can't find
the correct drivers for onboard sound, then go buy a PCI soundcard. You
can get a C-Media one for anywhere from $5-$15USD. If you spend a
little more - around $20USD - you can get a quite decent soundcard that
will certainly give you better sound than you had with your onboard
chip.
