No sound when I connect on internet

I have Windows Vista Home Basic edition installed on my Amilo 1705 laptop.
The problem is when I connect on internet sound dissapears in a moment.
I even can not play the music from my hard disc.
I tried to install all possible codecs, but there is still no sound.
Checked all settings and still no joy.
As soon as I disconnect from Internet everything works fine.
Please help me how to fix this problem.

You should post to a Vista newsgroup. This one is for the XP OS. Here is a
list of Vista specific newsgroups. I suggest you post to vista.general.
Also include more detail such as did it ever work? If so what changed
between the time it did and now? Have you tried a system restore to before
the problem started? Is this a factory installed version of Vista that
came with the laptop? If so have you contacted the computer's tech support?
