No sound since upgrading to XP

I can't get any sound since upgrading to win xp. I ran
through the sound troubleshooter and everything seems to
look ok. Could it be that my sound card as failed. It
was working before I upgraded.

You probably need to download and install an
XP-compatible sound card driver. Go to the website
of the soundcard manufacturer. They will probably
have an updated driver for XP.

Fix-it. In the advanced settings of the sound card,
there was a "digital output only" box that wasn't
selected. Selecting this box, got the sound back.
