No sound on WMP via remote

Controlling on home wireless LAN my Windows Media Player on my office
computer with a remote laptop. Office computer is hooked up to house wired
stereo system. Want to control music selection on laptop from different part
of the house. Remote application works well but I get no sound from the
media player on any of my speaker components.

Any help?

Have you selected sound redirection in the options for the Remote Desktop
connection?

Also some folks in the past needed to start the sound application on the
remote PC before making the Remote Desktop connection in order for sound to
get redirected...
