No sound on my profile !!!

I cant get any sound on my profile (system sounds work OK) all other profiles
on my XP Home software work fine.
 
Here is a work around:

Log on as someone else. Goto Documents and Settings and rename YOUR profile.
Then log off and back on as you, windows will create a new profile folder
and setting for you. Then you can copy over your files from your old profile
and you can be back in the game.
