No sound is playing when a new email arrives - box is checked

I don't get a sound when my email arrives. I'm using Outlook Express 6. Any
one know how to fix?

Options
General tap
Check "Play sound when a new message arrives"
Apply and OK.

Thanks Dave, I had that already marked but still have no sound. Any other
ideas?
 
Hi Robin,
Check if you have a sound set for this event.
Start
Control Panel
Sounds and Audio devices
Sounds tap
In the Program events window check if there is a sound selected for
"New mail notification"
If not, click it and in the sound field select "Windows XP Notify"
Apply and OK
