No secondary hard drive after xp sp2 install

After installing sp2 into xp pro, my d: secondary hard drive is not
available. It is not listed in explorer, device manager, or disk management,
but it is listed in the bios upon boot up. The drive comes up fine on my
other xp sp1 pc. Everything was working fine with this drive before I
installed sp2. Any suggestions are welcome.
 
Probably not worth anything - but what about diskpart? It may give more
information.

From a command prompt:
Diskpart ==> List Disk
Diskpart ==> Rescan
