No Restore previous version option when I right-click files--why?

When I right-click the files on my Vista Home Premium equipped laptop, I do
not get the Restore Previous Version option. I tried right-clicking on pdfs,
Word 2007 docs, and Excel 2007 docs.
Any ideas why?

I suspect you are referring to the Shadow
Copy feature...it's only available in the Business,
Enterprise and Ultimate versions of Vista.
