No recycle bin on desktop

When delete files I get the warning message indicating
that the file will be sent to the recycle bin. Yet there
is none on the desktop!

Did you have Norton System Works by any chance, and uninstall it.
If so, after you Restart your computer a few times it will work properly.
I not, have you made any changes lately? If so, what were they; This would help.

Use Microsoft's TweakUI or Xteq's X-Setup to restore the Recycle Bin on
the Windows desktop.
