I'm trying to upgrade from Outlook 2000 on an old
computer to Outlook 2002 on a new computer. I've moved
over the .pst file, but can't find a .pab file on my old
computer. I do have an extensive address book on the old
computer, where could it be???
thanks in advance,
joe

Were all of the users in your address book stored in the Contacts folder in
your .pst file? If they are all contained in the .pst file then you were
not using a Personal Address Book (.pab) you were using the Outlook Address
Book which is not a file but rather a service. Open your .pst file and see
if all of the users are listed in the Contacts folder. If they are then
right click on the Contacts folder and click on Properties. Then go to the
Outlook Address Book tab and make sure that the check box for "Show this
folder as an e-mail Address Book". Close out of the Properties screen and
open the Address Book. I hope this information helps.
