How to transfer .PAB folder to Outlook 2003?

I am about to attempt to tranfer my Outlook 2002 that ran on a MS XP computer
to Outlook 2003 running an Vista.
I assume I can copy the .pst and .PAB folders to the new Vista computer and
Outlook 2003; then direct Outlook 2003 to the new .pst location which I
understand how to do. But how do I get Outlook 2003 to operate on the .PAB
folder where I have the majority of my e-mail addresses?
I would appreciate any advice that might alleviate (or moderate) any
frustrations before I attempt to transfer from Outlook 2002 that was running
on XP to Outlook 2003 running on Vista.
Thanks for any advice offered.

Open it in the profile using tools, accounts, address books... but its
highly recommended you import the PAB to the contacts as they are
depreciated and will not be usable in Outlook 2007 or newer.

Diane,
Thanks for your response. Would it be possible to import my .PAB file into
my Contacts upon my initial startup of Outlook 2003 on my new Vista system?
If so, how would I do this?
Thanks again.

Yes.

File>Import and Export>Import from another program or file>Next. Select
"Personal Address Book" and click Next. Browse to the PAB, select your
duplicate handling, and continue from there.
