no network connections showing

My apologies if this issue has been addressed before. My Vista Business
laptop does not show any network connections. It does connect via the
wireless adapter and I can access the internet, shared printers, volumes,
etc. What I cannot do is look at the tcp/ip status, or use the connection
wizard to create a new connection. I get a "wizard cannot create the
connection" error. Any help would be appreciated.

We had a similar post before. Don't remember the solution. It could be a 3rd
party software. For troubleshooting, start the Vista with clean boot. Please
post back with the result.

Well, booting in safe mode with networking results in the exact same
behavior. I am not sure at what point this issue appeared in my system. I am
still researching to see what the problem could be. Any other ideas would be
helpful.
