Hello Everyone,

I have sp1 install on my new desktop. Everytime I install SP2 i loose my
network adapter.

I've tried reinstalling my network adapater and that didn't work. I remove
the netework adapter software, rebooted and then installed again and that
didn't work.

Any ideas?

Did you check for updated drivers and install them prior to the SP2 upgrade?

Yes I did. This a brand new system I purchase all the hardware from compusa.
I will probably go back to them since they sold me the system board with the
embeded lan adapter on it to see if there are updated drivers for this
adapter. I just thought I would post the information here to see if there
are any known issues. I did read something about some people saying that you
should down load the sp2 instead of using windows update but I couldn't find
the place to down it or maybe I just don't know how to download the complete
sp2.

Rather than go back to CompUSA you should check the motherboard
manufacturer's Web site for new drivers.
