No msconfig

I'm troubleshooting an error in burning software, and it was advised to use
msconfig to limit startup programs.

I get an error message saying not found.

Try typing msconfig in Start | Run

Or try %windir%\PCHealth\HelpCtr\Binaries\msconfig.exe in Start | Run

W2K did not ship with MSCONFIG included...
Try one of the best, free,
AUTORUNS (www.sysinternals.com)

Also note that the best and proper way for controlling Services is to
use the services.msc GUI, or CLI tools such as sc.ess and
psservice.exe.

Or you could actually post about the "burning software" error...
probably not in this group though which is of course "cmdprompt"
related.

Well thanks all, I got msconfig going and it does what it should although it
didn't help the burning problem. At least that's one more thing to check
off that the problem isn't:) Thanks! There's a DVD authoring group I'm
following up on to keep on topic.
