no internet connection after dns changes

previously i was having problems joining computers to a newly created
domain...it was soon found out via this newsgroup that i did not have dns set
up properly. now i have my dc set up with dns installed, it has a static ip
address, and a member server and a workstation point to it for dns resolution
and were therefor successfully joined to the domain. the problem now is that
instantly upon making those changes, i lost my internet connection to all
three machines. i have checked the subnet to see that it is correct...as
well as the gateway, and they both are and have restarted all three machines
in order to confirm that the changes have had there full effect. What should
i try next?

On the DNS server set up forwarding and list your ISP's DNS servers as the
forwarder.
