No Hard Disk found during Windows XP re-install

I am trying to re-install Window's XP home from my cd and when i change it to
boot from CD first, it goes into set-up fine, but at the beginning it tell's
me that there is no hard drive deteced and it ask's me to quit....

This is kinda getting on my nerve's now.

Any help would be fantastic!!!

Have your computer checked by a technician or contact manufacturer if still
under warranty.
 
Your hard drive might require a special driver in order to allow XP to see
your hard drive. Most RAID, SCSI and SATA controller require a driver to be
specified to XP (Press <F6> ....) so as for XP to see the hard drive.
 
Ronjoe - you mention "re-install" - why is reinstalling necessary? Answer
may provide a clue.
