No Font Effects on Slide Masters?

Does anyone know why I can't apply font effects to styles on the Slide Master
in PPT 2007 or even to text in my presentation that uses fonts coming from
the Slide Master? Font effects work great on text I insert with a text box.

You should be able to apply them to placeholders and text in placeholders.

How did you apply font effect on slide master?Have you correctly apply it?
Select the text in the placeholder on the slide master>>Right click on the
selected text>>Make changes using either the formatting toolbar or the
shortcut menu that appears.

Dear Echo,
Thanks for responding.
Specifically I am trying to apply custom shadows but it appears the only
option is to use the generic Shadow setting for the fonts on the Home tab.

When I create new text boxes, the text effects options are all available.
They are not available in the place holders on the Masters or on place
holders in the slides that come from the Masters.

Can you confirm this? Seems weird to me. Wonder if I am missing something?

Yes... in this case "this loong person is just going to copy YOUR response
from here and reply to AN UNAWARE poster at about.com.

The OP at about.com probably believes "loong" is answering him. The OP does
not know that "loong" is making HERE the question to get a good answer from
YOU and copy-paste YOUR answer as if it was "loong's answer"...
