No email

Microsoft outlook 2000 will not send or receive email. Settings are correct.
It will explore the Internet.
Outlook Express works ok.

What symptoms or error messages do you get. "Will not send/receive mail" is
pretty generic.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, Ray Reeves asked:

I get no error messages but I recieve no mail and composed messages go to
the outbox and stay there.Attempts to forward from there do not take effect

Have you tried removing and reinstalling your mail account settings? Have
you talked to your ISP (I know, most will not support Outlook). Ask them
about the mail settings in Outlook Express and then import the settings to
Outlook (only works if Outlook 2000 is in IMO mode).
