No Drive mappings @ boot up

I have a user who is running Windows XP Pro SP1 + All
Updates. Everyday they come in and turn on the laptop and
after logging into Windows 2000 Domain, he has no network
drive mappings. If he logs off and then logs back in he
has all of his drive mappings. This only happens if he
reboots the pc and it is for anyone who logs in.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yes I am running a Login Script and after initial boot up
and the user signs in i notice it does not run but if i
log off and log back in, I can see the login script run
and then all network drives show up in My Computer.

Thanks for the reply.

Do you see anything in the system event logs on this PC? I've seen this
happen before but am fuzzy on the details....senior moment.

The only thing in the event viewer is w32time - reference
to not being able to find a domain controller for a source
of time. I didnt think that could affect it from being
able to logon to the network.

Is your login script assigned via a policy, or just via the login script
settings in ADUC properties?

Since the XP PCs should automatically be syncing time with the DC, I think
that error might be relevant, but are there no other errors at all? How
about in the app log?
