No drive letter assigned to Zip Drive

Upgraded from Win98se to Win2000pro. Iomega Zip drive
(100MB, external, parallel port)shows up in right-cl My
Computer/Manage/Storage/Disk Management. It is present
also in
Registry/HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Applications\explorer.exe\Drives
\ but is not assigned a drive letter visible to user eg.
in My Computer.
It is, frustratingly, visible in right-cl anyfile/Send
To... , so can be sent to but not loaded from.
How to make it visible with an assigned drive letter?
Thanks any pertinent suggestions. I've been through all
possible assistance from Iomega and now going around in
circles.

have you looked in device manager for the zip drive
entry? Is it functioning properly there?
