No Drive detected in Burning Softward. Access Denied

P

Pascal

Hi,
I hope it is the right place to post my problem.
I changed my account from Administrator to User as advised by Microsoft.
Now I cannot burn anymore. ImgBurn shows "No Drive Detected" and in the log
says "Access denied".
I have no problem with an Administator account.
I can open the DVD drive and play a DVD with my user account.
How can I grant access to my user account? When I open the properties of the
drive, there is no Security tab. I allowed it to share but with no effect.
I use Windows XP Pro SP2
Thanks for your help.

You may use Nero's BurnRights applet to grant normal users access to
the burner.
But it's a big hole in security... Right way is to use the apps who
install special drivers
to access burners from non-Admin account. CloneCD, Daemon Tools and
StarBurn
do this for years. Dunno why ImgBurn is so archaic :)

Arigato!
