no dial up internet after sp2

After installing SP2, I can no longer access the internet
by dial up. I even totally disabled the firewall just to
see if that was the problem. The connection will dial and
connect, but when you request a web page, internet
explorer doesn't seem to see the connection. Any ideas?

Dial into your ISP.
After you get connected, click Start, Run, type in CMD and press enter.
In the command prompt window type, ipconfig /all and then press enter

Look in the list and see if you have any DNS servers.
You should have at least one, if not 2 listed.

You sound like you are connecting OK, but not getting any DNS servers.
If you you don't have a DNS server defined in your IP configuration, your browser
will not be able to access any web sites. Generally, your ISP provides the
DNS server IP addresses when you dial in.

This is only one possible cause... there could be further issues with SP2.
