NO DIAL TONE!

Win 2000 Pro, fax service has been working but sometimes
get "no dial tone". Works fine when using for other
connections. Everything checks out with fax settings and
phone number sequences. ANY IDEAS???

Is the modem that you are using a Microsoft certified modem. You, can get a
list of Microsoft Certified Modems from:-
