No Defender icon in tray?

Beta 1 always had an icon that I could right click and check to see if the
security agents were running. Now I have to check my task manager to see
if MsAscui.exe and MsMpEng.exe are running (and taking up a wonderful 19
meg of resident memory).

I actually disagree to this. The operating system protecting itself from
invasion should be handled quietly and discreetly behind the scenes and
should only reveal its presence when there is a problem... as per Beta 2.

Instead of treating Windows Defender as just another anti-spyware
application, try thinking of it as an operating system enhancement that is
built into Windows (as per Vista).

Whatever our thoughts are on this, Microsoft has announced that a future
build of the beta will allow the option to show the icon. It will remain
unshown by default, however.
