No connection

Boyfriend is disconnected from the internet now for 5 days we share a router
and I am able to get on the internet with my computer. We have tried the
start run cmd netsh thingy and it didn't work. He is unable to get on the
internet to try any of the other things on line to try to fix the problem.

Need alot more info then that.

What OS is on the computer?
What kind of Network? Wired or Wireless?
Was the connection ever working?
Does he have a firewall software installed?
What type of router? Make and Model.....

OK totally computer illiterate here ....... no idea what OS is. The computer
is wired. The connection was working great up until 5 days ago.Yes there is a
firewall in place through Defender Pro. router is Netgear FS605

We would like to Thank you for this forum being here. We have solved the
problem and he is back on the net. I was checking in this forum on all the
errors he was getting and was finally rewarded when checked error 10106. The
answers to the question asked there were able to get him back on the net.
Something about a winsock needing to be deleted.
