no color after xp install

After installing xp Pro, my monitor has lost all color. I
switched monitors and the problem existed there too.

When I first startup, the color is there. Midway through
the launch of windows the color goes to grey scale.

Right-click the desktop and choose "Properties". Click the "Settings"
tab, and see whether the settings there will help you. It's possible
that you'll need to install a driver for your video adapter. You
should be able to find such a thing at the website of the manufacturer
of the computer or video adapter.
