No boot-up after Updates

Hi again,
just formatted hdd and installed SP2 from CD. I then ran updates from MS,
about 16 of them. After this XP boots up to about 80% (my guess only) and
then re-boots again. It keeps on doing this till I switch it off.

Any suggestion as what might cause this?

Did you grab any hardware updates? I had one once hose a
machine........

thanx for pointing me in the right direction. I discovered it to be my
AOpen AW850 Cobra soundcard.

Now my wireless connection is gone. But at least I know where to start
looking for.

Sure, you've installed updated hardware drivers when everything was
working oK.
