no boot file name (pxc53)

I bought a Window XP pro 1 at Fry's electronic and
instlled on a system I built with Shuttle an35-Ultra,
Western Digtal 160 G HD.

I keep on getting the error message no boot file name ...

It ask for the boot disk

If I insert the Window XP Pro setup disc , the system
will boot.

I tried reformat and reinstalling the same Win XP Pro
without correcting the problem.

I tried using bootcfg /rebuild from the partition with
the OS without correcting the problem.

Could this be a defective Set up disc or is there
something that I am doing wrong. Please help!
