No boot device available?

Argh...so for whatever reason, our computer died, and
upon restart we get a command screen that says "diskette
drive 0 seek failure. no boot device available-strike F1
to retry boot, F2 for setup utility"

Any help?

Honestly, it sounds like your BIOS is set to halt the boot process on all
errors. The error you mentioned deals with the floppy drive. In most cases
you can hit F1 to bypass this. Or, if you feel comfortable you can go into
the BIOS by pressing F2 and remove you floppy or change the way the BIOS
deals with startup errors. Let me know how it goes!
