There's a post from Steve Dodson in these groups today, which mentions
beta2. I think you should re-check your source.

MS has not even put their own interface on this yet. No beta 2 is about the
stupidest thing I've ever heard. Your mom could have helped you sound a
little more authoritative than that!!!

We have not announced timing of RTW, and we are still planning a beta 2. And
while I am here dispelling rumors, we are also aware of the July 31 timebomb
and are working on an update to extend that date.

Yes, and I just read that article - dated December 20th, 2004 - there is no
way he can even claim that the article is where he is basing this claim of
no beta 2.

Just a bored kid stirring up the hornet's nest. Fortunately, most people
who read these ngs do so over the web and have not even seen his bogus posts
due to the fact that they are on another page by now!
