no background music screen

I recently purchased PhotoStory 2 and I do not get a screen asking for
background music. The preview button takes me only to a video playback.
What have I done wrong?

In PS2, the Next button that takes you
to the Add Music screen will not be live
until you add a Title.

I guess you know you can download
Photo Story 3 for free? Only problem
is...it doesn't have the option to create
VCDs.

BTW...if your version of PS2 does
not have the option to burn VCDs....
You can download an update from
the following site

Free Update for Microsoft
Plus! Digital Media Edition
http://tinyurl.com/qyr1

And FWIW...since you have PS2...
there is a trick that will allow you
to create a VCD from a PS3 file or
even a Movie Maker file.

Instructions if you need them:

How to open a Movie Maker .wmv file or
a PhotoStory 3 .wmv file in the retail version
of PhotoStory 2 and burn a VCD.

First...create a new folder on your desktop
and name it PhotoStory.

Now, create a PhotoStory in PhotoStory2
with just one image...save the .wmv file
in your new folder.

Next...rename your completed Movie Maker
..wmv or PS3 .wmv file exactly the same
name as the Photo Story file.

Next...copy/paste the Movie Maker file into
the PhotoStory folder.

You should see a dialog box that says:

Would you like to replace the existing file
with this one?

Click...Yes.

Now...if you reopen PhotoStory2 and select:
"Play a Story or Use a Story to Create a VCD"
Your renamed file should be available.

John,

Thanks so much. I knew it had to a simple oversite. No, I did not know
Photosttory # was a freee download. It looks like I can do VCDs with my
copy of Photostroty 2. Is there any other advantage to ver.3 ?

Thnanks again for the help,
Kevin

PS3 is a newer program and has
a limit of 300 images where PS2
has a limit of 150. Also...PS3 has
a neat music making option. I'm
sure there may be a couple other
features but I cannot think of what
they are right now.

You can download and install PS3
and it will run as a separate program
from PS2 so you can have both if
you wish.

The best advantage of the retail
version of PS2 IMHO is the option
to create VCDs.
