no background color in IE 7

I am using Internet Explorer 7 with XP SP2 and have two user accounts on the
single laptop, a Dell Inspiron 1100. On one user account, my daughter's, IE
brings up websites without background colors and omitting some banners. It
works fine from my account. I've messed around with Internet Options>Colors
without success. It seems as if there are either XP display settings or IE
seetings that are different between the two accounts and I can't figure it
out. Any suggestions?

You might check in Accessibility Options and make sure Use high contrast is
not checked.
