No .avi pictures

Messages into my Windows Mail that contain an .avi file only produce garbled
'machine code'.
Can you tell me please how to receive pictures?

AVIs typically are very large so they are often split into multiple
messages. If you receive such then select them all and then go to Message |
Combine and Decode.
